As part of its current restructuring, Russian Railways will detach subsidiaries. One of the key activities of RZD Trade is increasing the scope of deliveries to independent companies.

As part of cooperation between Russian Railways and national rail operators of the «area 1520», RZD Trade supplies equipment and materials made in Russia to South-Caucasian Railways (Armenia), Ulan-Bator Railways (Mongolia) and other companies.
